Friend of The Project for Resilient Communities,

Recently, we filed an application with the County of Santa Barbara to extend our 5 year emergency permits for the nets to remain in place. Unless we are successful, we will be required to pull out all the nets by November of this year, when the permits expire.  We have taken this effort as far as private citizens should be expected to do.

NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT.

The National Weather Service is predicting a strong El Nino for the upcoming winter. We need your help.

Contact your supervisors today:​​

  • Tell them you support leaving the nets in place.

  • Help us spread the word that our community's Nets are a critical Mitigation tool. 

  • We need to be able to fund our efforts for the remainder of 2023.

We need to move quickly. We are concerned that any challenge will delay us to the point where we will have no choice but to remove the Nets. You were all critical to our success installing the Nets and we deeply appreciate your support. Let’s finish the job.​
